My Super Hero Friends Foundation Volunteers visit Children with Cancer at the Philippine General Hospital

Every year before Christmas time My Super Hero Friends Foundation volunteers provide gifts and medical assistance as part of its advocacy. This year on December 8, 2017 the foundation together with Cosplayer and GMA7 artist volunteer Ameera Joharra went to the Philippine General Hospital to bring some cheer.

To be able to sustain and create this advocacy, several groups came together to help the My Super Hero Friends Foundation. The Troop Bonifacio of De La Salle Zobel together with Jen Reyes and JhayR Reyes of PBA KIA team donated. Other volunteers Edileen Gutierrez, Wen Guarin, Mark Guarin, Yhel Abenoja and Athena Raizel Darang also came.

Ameera Joharra who wore the costumer Wonderwoman is known for being active with advocacies and is steadfast with her call to encourage other people on social media to also extend their help whenever they can.

A team of cosplayers and creatives wearing their Super Hero Characters also came.  Batman Ronie Dizon, Mond Ortega as Power Range, Ameera Johara as Wonderwoman, Mark Daniel Tipozo as the Flash, Alessandra Garcia, Gio Regoro as Robin and Jeasan Declaro also came to help.

My Super Hero Friends Foundation is an active volunteer group that was created by Mike Maranan with wife Joan Maranan together with other active members.

The group headed out to the Philippine General Hospital under the guidance and help of Annie Guzman. The team came with superheroes to cheer the children in the Cancer Institute department who are currently undergoing chemotherapy.

The My Superhero Friends Foundation gives financial assistance to patients with various illnesses like cancer and rare forms of diseases and affliction.

The foundation also does regular feeding programs in local communities and create information awareness to enhance the level of knowledge of localities that we are visiting. We are also geared towards empowering the minds of Filipinos to create aware and able individuals who can contribute to the success of the Philippines.

Only recently, the volunteer bikers of the foundation also went for the “Piso Isang Kilometro” Cycling expedition from Luneta to Davao to raise awareness for cancer patients.

The “ Piso Isang Kilometro”  wants to combine these two advocacies, because in order to sustain the battle against Cancer and other illnesses where financial literacy is needed. If the person can learn how they can rise from poverty, there is a way to resolve any problem that they will encounter later in life.

For the past years, My Super Hero Friends Foundation, INC., which was founded by Michael V. Maranan, President of the Maranan Group of Companies, has been active in several programs including the Act of Random Kindness program that provided numerous feeding programs and livelihood programs in different parts of the Philippines.

Together with Batangas Bikers Group, the foundation has already provided boats for fishermen that were affected by Yolanda typhoon in 2013. The foundation is also steadfast in providing financial literacy talks in many affiliated schools in Batangas and different regions in the country including the Dumagat Tribe.
