L.A Santos Nominated as Best New Artist in Prestigious Aliw Awards 2017

Teen Idol L.A Santos gets nominated as Best New Artist in the upcoming Aliw Awards. He was selected as a top performer together with Moira dela Torre, Eric Ejercito, Julian Trono, Kaye Cal and Shane Anja.


Aliw Awards by the Aliw Awards Foundation, Inc. was established by the renowned Philippine journalist Alice H. Reyes, to recognize achievements in the live entertainment industry in the Philippines. Founded in 1976 in Manila, it is the pioneer in giving awards for excellence in theatreoperadance, live vocal and instrumental shows.

The first awards show was held in 1977 with singer Pilita Corrales winning the Entertainer of the Year Award followed by Rico Puno and Celeste Legaspi in 1978 and 1979, respectively. In 2007, the Award was given to Regine Velasquez, who also received it in 2009. In the 2011 Aliw Awards, 19-year-old International Singing Sensation Charice was the recipient, making her the youngest artist to be conferred such recognition.

Sarah Geronimo is one of the female artists in the history to win all of the major awards from “Entertainer of The Year” in 2010.

On his official Facebook page, L.A Santos thanked his fans and the people who supported him.  The upcoming artist thanked his mother Florita Brioso Santos for helping him get to where he is today. L.A Santos has recently released his hit song ” Tinamaan” released by ABS-CBN Star Music. The song was written and produced by  Jonathan Manalo and the music video directed by Kenjhons.


The song ” Tinamaan”, quickly became a hit radio sensation all over Metro Manila and different parts of the Philippines. Right now L.A Santos is working with some of the best and most popular K-pop groups in Korea like UKiss, Halo and Walwari at the Araneta Coliseum.

He is also set to sing alongside legends like Martin Nievera, Concert King in Canada at the Grey Hotel and Casino Event Center in Calgary this November 5, 6pm.
